Kostiantyn Kuflik
Chief Business Development director
Kostiantyn, an alumnus of Kyiv National Economic University named after V. Hetman, holds a Master’s degree in International Economics and Management. His career trajectory has been closely tied to the world of grain trading and transportation since 2014. His initial foray involved grain delivery via trucks and rail wagons. Within a year, he expanded his operations to include the direct purchase of grain from farmers, subsequently orchestrating its transportation and sale to companies based in the port.
Driven by an unrelenting passion for trade, Kostiantyn transitioned to multinational grain corporations. He embarked on his journey from a role as a purchasing manager and steadily progressed to become the head of the purchasing department within a company that exported an impressive 2 million tons of grain and sunflower oil annually.
Kostiantyn’s practical encounters with the challenges of the market fueled his ambition to establish a more streamlined supply chain. It was this aspiration that gave birth to the ICORN trade and logistics platform, of which he is the primary founder, visionary, and CEO. This startup initiative is gradually gaining traction among small-scale farmers across Ukraine.
The onset of Russian invasion of Ukraine marked a significant turning point for grain flows. In response, Kostiantyn pivoted his focus towards identifying buyers for Ukrainian grain in regions such as Europe, Middle East, and South Asia. His innovative approach encompassed the orchestration of logistics spanning roadways, river barges, and ocean vessels departing from Ukraine’s river ports. In just six months, he managed the loading and transportation of over 50 ships and more than 1,000 vehicles, facilitating the delivery of grain to the aforementioned countries.
Dmytro Iandovskyi, the co-founder of Qortia, remarks: “Kostiantyn’s outstanding talent and unwavering diligence have not gone unnoticed. As a result, we have provided even greater resources to support his development. This marked the beginning of our collaboration, and today, Kostiantyn effectively leads the trading division at Qortia.”
